9 Lives Cat Rescue was established in 2009 in response to a serious gap in cat welfare resources or Perth and its surrounding areas.
We live by the motto ‘until they all have a home’ and as result we have established ourselves as a no-kill shelter.
We are a tax-deductible charity, with all profits going straight into the care of our cats and kittens. The generous donation of time and effort by all our volunteer foster carers and staff allow 9 Lives Cat Rescue to continue to improve the quality of life for both our feline campanions and the community.
We aim to improve the welfare of cats in Perth and surrounding areas through:
Rescue of orphaned, stray and abandoned cats, which are then placed in foster care.
Providing an adoption service to find permanent, loving homes for rescued cats and kittens.
Educating people in responsible cat ownership to encourage healthy human-feline relationships, improve individual feline wellbeing, and ultimately to reduce feline overpopulation caused by irresponsible ownership.
Campaigning for the creation and enforcement of cat welfare laws with the hope of bringing all cat welfare agencies together to work for a common cause.
Foster care and re-homing for abandoned, orphaned and surrended cats and kittens.
Re-homing assistance, for those who are no longer able to care for their cat/s and desire help with the re-homing process (fees do apply).
Crisis care for cats. This service is for people who need their cats put into temporary foster care whilst still maintaining ownership, for cases such as housing problems or family break-ups. Eligibility for this service is based on meeting specific criteria.
Spend a pretty, help a kitty! We rely on donations and fundraising to care for our cats. Every dollar is appreciated and 100% of donations go towards vet bills, food, litter, microchipping and sterlising our cats.
200+ foster cats use up a lot of food, litter and flea treatments! Please consider donating a quality dry cat food (Royal Canin, Advance, Hills, Iams, Eukanuba, Purina) or bag of litter to the cause. Pick up can be arranged by emailing us, or you can drop off donated goods at locations across the metro area.
We are always on the lookout for volunteers to help us run our Bunnings sausage sizzles, foster cats, join our fundraising committee, co-ordinate operations or jus LIKE us on Facebook. If you can donate your time to these endeavours please drop us a line at our emails, and check out our Facebook page to stay up to date with fundraising events.
We are always deeply apprecitive of your support. All deductions over $2 to 9 Lives Cat Rescue are tax deductible and can be paid directly to our National Bank account.
